Driving Pipeline, Partnerships, and Performance Across the Commercial Segment

The Commercial Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the commercial segment across key markets.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Generating and qualifying leads, including self‑sourced opportunities.
  • Developing and execute sales action plans and commercial‑segment strategies.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline and manage customer data in Microsoft CRM360.
  • Conducting direct marketing activities and participate in targeted conferences and sales events.
  • Making sales calls and customer visits, delivering presentations and product training.
  • Preparing proposals with the Bid Team and contracts with the ISA Team.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and report on sales activity using CRM and Power BI.
  • Meeting monthly and annual sales targets while ensuring strong customer relationships.

Additionally, the role also involves developing and maintaining sales and promotional materials in collaboration with the Marketing team, responding to enquiries across phone, email, and in‑person channels, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Extensive National travel to key projects and client meetings is requires. Additionally, you will travel to Brisbane Head Office and occasional other interstate travel.

B2B Specification Sales Professional with a Proven Track Record in Project‑Based Selling

You are a high‑achieving, competitive, and structured sales professional with a strong track record in B2B and specification‑based selling. You excel in environments with mixed sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.

The position demands readiness for extensive national travel and the professionalism to engage stakeholders at all levels.

We also imagine that you have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in specification‑focused sales.
  • Experience selling high‑end, design‑led, or project‑based products.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation acumen in multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to prospect, source leads, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Experience within landscape, construction, industrial, or commercial product lines.
  • Strong understanding of tenders, RFQs, and project‑driven sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging varied stakeholders.
  • Skilled in CRM systems, Excel, MS Office, and Power BI.

A Senior Secondary Certificate or equivalent, full working rights in Australia, and willingness for extensive national travel are essential.

Develop High‑Quality Leads and Support Sales Growth

As our Business Development Representative, you will play a central role in generating new business and supporting our sales pipeline. You will proactively connect with prospective and existing customers, qualify inbound inquiries, and collaborate closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth. Your ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and manage opportunities will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to prospective and existing customers to identify and nurture new sales opportunities.
  • Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries, supporting the external sales team with early‑stage pipeline development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including schools, leisure facility managers, contractors, retail and hospitality outlets, and community groups.
  • Prepare and administer quotes, basic designs, and orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain CRM records to ensure all customer interactions and opportunities are tracked and up to date.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to execute outbound campaigns and follow up on generated leads.
  • Contribute to achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Ensure smooth project handover and deliver excellent customer experience.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Sales Support, and Design & Visualisation, as well as a wide range of external customer groups.

Sales Professional Confident in Outbound Sales 

We are looking for a driven, customer‑focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships and uncovering new opportunities. You bring at least two years of experience in a sales organization and are confident with outbound calling and pipeline management.

You work independently, manage multiple tasks with ease, and maintain a high level of accuracy and structure. Your communication skills allow you to engage customers, internal teams, and partners effectively. You are motivated by targets, resilient when facing challenges, and energized by creating new business.

You will succeed in this role if you are:

  • Proactive and confident in outbound sales activity.
  • Skilled in customer service and relationship building.
  • Strong in time management, prioritizing, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing your own opportunity pipeline.
  • Competent in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.

What will you Do?

In the role of Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales activities in a designated territory of Canberra and the southern NSW District working collaboratively with the KOMPAN sales team.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Generating new business to grow revenue and market share. 
  • Qualifying leads, sourcing and developing new opportunities for growth. 
  • Identifying new customers through building sustainable relationships with key customers - including industry bodies and specialists.  
  • Preparing and executing sales action plans for the territory. 
  • Managing of Dynamic’s 365 CRM system to manage your pipeline and day to day activities.

More about you

We’d like you to be able to say yes to some of the below:

  • 5+ years’ experience in detailed specification selling. 
  • B2B technical sales experience in Construction, Architectural or Engineering.
  • Well connected with local government authorities.
  • Strong relationship builder and influencer.
