Area Sales Manager, Victoria

We need more people who are excited about bringing play and fitness solutions to the community, so we have started our search for a new Area Sales Manager based in Melbourne. 

Grow our sales of playgrounds and outdoor sport and fitness

In this role as an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales activity in a designated territory in the Melbourne market, working collaboratively with the existing sales team.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business, qualifying leads, sourcing and developing client referrals as well as preparing and executing sales action plans for the territory. Experience in our key segments such as local council, landscape architects, housing development and education is essential for your success.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Thought leadership on play and fitness trends to customers.
  • Educating and training on new products and innovations.
  • Developing solutions and presenting to customers.
  • Manage your pipeline of opportunities through CRM.
  • Work with marketing to execute plans.

A specialist in value-based selling 

We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong strategic sales skills and a very commercial mindset. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of sales achievement within a solution sales environment that has a mixture of short, medium, and long sales cycles. Pipeline management and accurate forecasting are critical elements in this role.

You hold a VCE or equivalent. You have worked with specification sales and have sold/promoted high-end products and have experience with high volume project sales and a Bid - Design - Install - Service model. A good knowledge of tenders and RFQ processes is desired.

As you will communicate with a range of stakeholders, you must possess excellent communication skills in verbal, written and presentation settings with small to large groups. A strong knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with experience of sales software is key including CRM.
