Do you have experience with mathematical modeling and forecasting and are you the top of your field? Then you have the chance to take your abilities to the next level with us. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Analysis & Algorithm team where you will be working alongside highly skilled and competent coworkers. You will be part of a fast-paced trading company where bureaucracy is low, and performance is high.
The role will be to expand our existing algorithmic trading solution into a new area. The project has huge potential and is a high priority for the company. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional mathematical skills as well as high programming abilities to take ownership of this project.
We have a deep understanding of the problem you need to tackle as well as a good insight into what machine learning methods we expect will work well. Thus, we can support you in building a version 1.0 of the trading algorithm. However, after this first simpler version has been implemented, there is a huge potential to implement more sophisticated methods and to try out novel machine learning and forecasting methods. It is therefore not required that you have experience within power trading or trading algorithms, however, it is important that you have a skill set that enables you to think in new ways and that you can handle complexity at a very high level.
- Masters and Ph.D. within a quantitatively heavy field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, mathematical economics, or similar.
- Be in the top 10 % within your field.
- Programming abilities at expert level.
- Industry experience with programming, mathematical modeling, and forecasting is a plus.
- Desire to take ownership and responsibility for the project
- Ability to work with and solve complex tasks
- Result oriented
You will join a company where automation is a top priority and you will become fully educated in algorithmic power trading. You will have a lot of freedom to take our current setup into new trading areas, as well as use state-of-the-art methods from machine learning on real-life problems. We have a very short route from idea to live-trading.
