The role

As a VAT Specialist, you will be part of our Group VAT Team (Center of Excellence), working across multiple entities and VAT registrations in various European countries. You will play a key role in ensuring VAT compliance, supporting audits, and improving processes within the VAT function.

This role is based in our office in Łódź, Poland.

Key Responsibilities:

• VAT reporting - Prepare and submit VAT returns, EC sales and acquisition lists, Intrastat, and other country-specific reports.
• Reconciliation & risk management - Perform monthly reconciliations with the General Ledger, detect and validate tax risks, and ensure compliance.
• Audit & compliance support - Prepare materials for internal audits and handle queries from tax authorities.
• Process improvements - Identify opportunities for efficiency in VAT processes and assist in implementing new VAT regulations across European countries.
• Collaboration & support - Provide VAT expertise and support to different business units across the group.

Your Profile:

✔ Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar VAT-related position.
✔ Education: University degree in Finance, Tax, or Accounting.
✔ Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of European VAT legislation. 
• Experience with French, Spanish, or German VAT reporting is a plus.
• General compliance knowledge/interest (taxes, charges etc.) will be an asset.                                                                                                         

✔ Personality: Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Skills:

• Languages: Fluent in English (spoken & written). Knowledge of French, Spanish or German is a plus.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (AX2012, D365FO) is an advantage.
