Application deadline : As soon as possible

Are you an experienced mechanic, electrician, or technician? Do you want a job where you can travel to facilities around the world and use your strong skillset to ensure effective installation, commissioning and/or servicing of technical process equipment? Then you might be the Site Engineer we’re looking for to join our Installation & Commissioning team at Green Hydrogen Systems.

Your key responsibilities

In the position as Site Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, preparing, and executing the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of our on-site plants. While our customers are located worldwide, most of your travel will be within the UK and Nordic countries.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Perform installation and/or supervise the installation of electrolyser systems on-site.
  • Train customer staff and assist in onboarding and supporting new Site Engineers.
  • Provide operational support during and between site visits.
  • Conduct service and maintenance of our electrolyser systems at customer sites.
  • Perform retrofits and install upgrade packages on our electrolysis plants and associated technical process and automation control systems.
  • Assist with project follow-up and documentation.
  • Handle various ad-hoc technical tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

At Green Hydrogen Systems, safety is our top priority, and a safety-first mindset is essential. You must act in accordance with our safety standards and take the lead on ensuring safety at the site. Following procedures, maintaining standards, and reporting back to the office are key responsibilities in this role.

Who are you?

To apply for the position of Site Engineer, you must have an educational background as a Mechanic, Electrician, or in Marine Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Process Operations, or a similar field.

Practical experience in installation and commissioning is required. Key areas of experience include component replacement, sensor calibration, retrofit work, and a solid understanding of processes.

You must be able to maintain a positive, proactive mindset in challenging situations, and have the personal drive to work independently as well as within a team. Ensuring progress on-site and meeting deadlines are essential.

While you are not expected to be regularly present at our office in Kolding between business trips, you will need to attend meetings, training sessions, tests in the workshop, and handle minor administrative tasks. Flexibility and staying updated via email are therefore important.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required, as well as a valid driver's license (category B).
