Train and develop colleagues across our global company

As our Global Training & Development Manager, you will play a central role in building and executing global training plans that support strategic priorities and close competence gaps across the organization.

You will join our Group HR team at our headquarters in Odense and collaborate closely with managers and teams worldwide to ensure we have the capabilities needed to support KOMPAN’s continued growth.

Your work will include creating the framework for learning, developing high‑quality training materials, supporting local trainers, and monitoring the impact of training to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mapping global training needs in a role‑based structure
  • Developing training materials and setting targets aligned with strategic initiatives
  • Planning and executing global training activities
  • Monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and initiating corrective actions
  • Developing training tools, systems, and dashboards to support all training activities
  • Building and expanding the KOMPAN Academy to serve all levels of the organization
  • Ensuring training supports compliance requirements across markets

While based at HQ, you will occasionally travel to local markets to deliver on‑ground training and work with regional partners. 

A professional trainer enthusiastic about learning and development

You bring a professional training background - whether from the private sector, public institutions, or the military. You may be a Manager or Officer looking for a new path within learning and development.

You have a strong interest in how people learn and grow, and you can operate both strategically and hands‑on. You are comfortable designing frameworks, developing materials, and delivering training with structure and quality.

We imagine that you:

  • Have experience working in a T&D role
  • Bring a proven track record within training and development
  • Possess knowledge of LMS platforms, training tools, and online learning methods
  • Have experience with management or leadership training (an advantage)
  • Communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written

You are structured, detail‑oriented, and an excellent communicator. You build strong relationships across functions and cultures, and you navigate stakeholder needs with confidence. You bring a strong personality, work well across organizational boundaries, and contribute to a learning culture that supports our global success.

A 2-year journey across the KOMPAN playground

The Commercial Graduate track is a two-year rotational programme for recent university graduates, designed to help you understand how KOMPAN drives growth across different sales set-ups, customer segments and markets.

Like any great playground, you'll explore 3 different cornerstones of KOMPAN: 3 rotations, each 7 months long - building your confidence, skills and commercial acumen across the entire value chain:

  • Sales: working close to customers and the front line, supporting sales execution and customer engagement
  • HQ: working with commercial analyses, market insights, sales excellence or growth initiatives
  • Supply Chain: building your commercial skillset through operations and procurement work

Specific responsibilities will vary by rotation and shaped by business needs, your aspirations and development, ensuring a steep learning curve and broad commercial exposure. You'll be expected to get your hands dirty in day-to-day operations, because we believe that's where real learning happens.

During each rotation, you'll complete a strategy-related business case, applying what you've learnt to real challenges. In your final months as a KOMPAN Graduate, you'll take on an end-point assessment - a business case tied to KOMPAN's strategy - testing how far you've come and giving back value to the company.

To support this journey, we are looking for an experienced sales Profile with strong commercial understanding to join our Group Commercial & Business Development team at our headquarters in Odense.

Join a global leader and elevate sales excellence across markets

As a Senior Sales Management Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping strategic sales initiatives across KOMPAN’s global organization. You will develop and enhance our Sales Management toolbox, supporting Sales Managers worldwide through structured training, coaching, and best‑practice implementation.

Your work will influence customer segmentation, account categorization, and CRM usage to drive data‑based decisions and efficient sales processes. 

You will partner with leadership and local teams as a strategic advisor, driving continuous improvement in sales excellence.

This new role carries significant impact and visibility. You will strengthen sales management practices across markets through tools, training, and insights.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating cross‑functional projects with HQ and country offices, ensuring structure, progress, and quality
  • Conducting commercial analyses (pipeline, performance, segmentation) and translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Developing project definitions and business cases to support leadership decisions
  • Driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Sales Management toolbox and structure
  • Designing, delivering, and evaluating training and coaching programs for Sales Managers
  • Creating new learning materials, digital modules, guides, and best‑practice documentation
  • Conducting field visits to observe, support, and coach Sales Managers
  • Optimizing customer segmentation and account categorization in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Analyzing CRM workflows and sales data to identify opportunities for process improvement

You can expect approximately 60 days of travel per year. 

Senior sales profile with international experience

You bring strong commercial understanding, analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complexity into clear direction. You thrive in a global matrix organization and enjoy working closely with both leadership and local teams.

We expect you to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Management, Sales Excellence, or similar roles
  • A proven track record in developing sales management tools, training programs, and process optimization
  • International experience 
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Experience working in international matrix organizations
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools (Excel, PowerBI) - an advantage
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is an advantage
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, MBA, or equivalent
