We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Category Manager - Indirect Procurement to professionalize and optimize our indirect spend across multiple categories and markets in close collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Lead Global Indirect Procurement Across Markets and Categories
In this high-impact role, you will drive procurement across indirect categories including Installation, Service, IT, HR, Facility, Finance, Energy, Marketing, and Maintenance-covering approx. 1 billion DKK in annual spend.
You’ll spearhead the development of sourcing strategies, streamline supplier portfolios, and lead high-value negotiations in close collaboration with stakeholders across our global sales subsidiaries and production sites. A key part of your role will be to drive and engage our indirect procurement community - working closely with colleagues in the US and with key coordinators in our six largest EU sales markets. This involves leading strategic projects while driving cross-border initiatives without relying on direct reporting lines.
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the sourcing strategy for all indirect categories
- Expand spend coverage and drive 5-10% savings on contracted spend
- Establish governance structures and IT platforms to support procurement excellence and ensure easy access to agreements and clear guidance to local buyers for ways of working
- Lead procurement projects and strategic initiatives (e.g., make-or-buy, insourcing, contract management)
- Consolidate purchasing across markets to increase negotiation power
- Act as a visible and proactive business partner across group functions and local markets, including providing input to business development and opportunities
- Drive benchmarking, supplier analysis, and commercial recommendations
You will become a part of the Sourcing Management Team and join a professional and result-oriented team of 19 colleagues globally. We have a professional but humorous tone of voice with a strong focus on teamwork. In this role, you will report to our Group Sourcing Director.
The position is located at our HQ in Odense, Denmark, but you should expect 40 travel days per year.
Proven Indirect Procurement Expert with Strong Business Acumen
You hold a Cand.merc or HD degree-ideally within Procurement, Sales, International Business, or Finance-and bring 5-10 years of experience in indirect procurement within an international company or in industries related to our indirect categories such as construction or outdoor furniture. Your background may include roles in procurement, sales, or product management.
You bring a solid foundation in:
- Strategic sourcing and category management
- Indirect category expertise from international companies or suppliers
- Business development and implementation of commercial solutions
- Project management and strong negotiation capabilities
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI
- Familiarity with ERP systems-experience with QAD is a plus
