Application deadline : Ongoing

Do you want to develop your skills within Design & Concepts in a company where imagination can be turned into playmazing landmarks?

In KOMPAN, we value the knowledge students bring to the table straight from the studies. We believe in developing these young talents and therefore, we are regularly looking for interns to join our Design & Concept team.

Get hands-on experience with an internship within Design & Concept

This role will give you knowledge of the design process in a growing, international set-up and credits to your CV that can’t be measured in ECTS.
Concepts and products of playgrounds and fitness equipment are developed in the Design & Concept department by eleven employees and interns who all have a background in design or architecture. Here ideas, products and concepts arise.

Throughout the development process there is a great collaboration with Product Engineering, Product Safety & Quality and KOMPAN Play Institute.

As an intern within this team, you will support our Designers working with exciting projects, and you will find yourself working with tasks such as:

  • Idea generation.
  • Design.
  • Hands-on work from drawings and choice of materials to muck-ups and models.

Talented student with an interest in 3D-drawings, materials, and design

To be successful in this internship, an understanding of 3D-drawings, materials, and design are a must.

You are currently attending the master’s or bachelor’s degree within design, architecture, engineering or similar and you have shown that you are talented within this field.

Further, you:

  • Bring a talent for applying theory in practice.
  • Are motivated by both idea generation and operational tasks.
  • Are committed and motivated to learn, which is reflected in your productive approach to the tasks.

Practicalities

The fun and more challenging tasks will require you to be in the office around 4-5 days a week.

The duration of the internship will be agreed upon with your studies in mind.

KOMPAN is paying for your lunch, but otherwise the internship is unpaid.

Please ensure that you attach a recent portfolio or school projects to your application. We will go through the applications on an ongoing basis.

Be aware that this is an open pool for applications. Therefore, please note in your application when an internship suits you and your studies.
If you have any questions about this, do not hesitate to reach out.

KOMPAN - who are we?

It all began in 1970: A red hen on a bright blue spring. The Crazy Hen, five decades later, has become an iconic modern classic. Today, we are the global market leader in outdoor play and fitness areas. We design, manufacture, and install more than 1,000 playgrounds and fitness sites every month somewhere across 90 countries. That is one installation every 44 minutes!

A sense of pride and accomplishment fills our hearts when children laugh excitedly, exploring one of our playground solutions. We also jump with joy when we see people of all ages and abilities working out and being active at one of our many outdoor fitness sites.

Do you want to play with us?

We are a vibrant working community with sales offices in 23 countries, distributors in more than 60 countries and approximately 1,800 passionate employees globally, all working towards our purpose to create healthier and happier communities.
