Do you want to lead and drive our sales and business development of sales through distributors?

We are looking for a Distributor Sales Manager who will be responsible for our distributor sales and business development in Europe and Central & South America. You will lead teams and employees in these markets who all play an important part in the complex process of distributor sales of our products. 

Leading sales in more than 25 countries

As a Distributor Sales Manager, you are responsible for sales through distributors in Europe and Central & South America.

You will develop and implement our distributor sales model facilitating sales development and growth in the entire area. 

You will have six direct references and a team of a total of 10 employees who all supports distributor sales globally. These employees work in Design & Visualization, Marketing, Regional Sales, and Sales Support. You will be responsible for setting the direction while empowering the team and employees to deliver in their roles.

Moreover, your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and collaborating with a portfolio of distributors.
  • Optimizing profit, sales volume, and operational efficiency in the area.
  • Driving volume growth and achieving targets with channel partners.
  • Driving annual negotiations and local business plans.
  • Nurturing partnership relations.
  • Promoting the awareness of our premium, global brand and products in the markets.

You will be based at, and work mostly from, our Headquarters in Denmark, Odense, and refer to our Group Sales Director. 

Travel is expected to be approx. 30-50 days per year.

An Experienced Distributor Sales Manager to drive growth

We are looking for a candidate who possesses years of experience within distributor sales management in a global company. You hold an education in sales and possess a proven track record in distributor sales and sales development.

You have been part of setting the strategic direction for distributor sales within a project-selling organization.

Importantly, you possess knowledge of complex sales processes in the industry of playgrounds, outdoor areas, fitness equipment, or from a related industry with premium products to the building/construction industry focusing on specification sales processes. You have experience in working directly with specifiers and decision-makers like (landscape)architects, designers, etc.

You hold leadership competencies and take pride in guiding your team and employees to reach their potential. 

Additionally, you:

  • Possess cross-cultural understanding and interest - you are passionate about market differences and requirements across borders.  
  • Have customer-relations skills, including skills in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Are solution-oriented, see opportunities and are driven by development and achieving our targets providing more play and active living to people globally. 

Further, you are able to work from the office in Odense most days a week.

Product manage new and innovative outdoor play and fitness solutions

As our Product Manager for our Product Management team in Odense, you will have the chance to contribute to major changes impacting the entire business organization and help us to further improve product development.

You will identify new growth areas and opportunities for product innovation and solutions within existing and potentially new product lines based on deep commercial-, quantitative- and qualitative insights.

You will be responsible for selected KOMPAN product innovation pipelines including fitness, multisport and climbing product lines. Your main mission will be to manage the entire product development process through the stage gate process in collaboration with the Head of Product Management and other Product Management team members.

Further, your key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Presenting project status to senior leadership, recommending further actions, and ensuring management approvals throughout the stage gate process.
  • Gathering insights through customer interviews, close collaboration with KOMPAN market organizations, sales analyses etc.
  • Collaborating with KOMPAN Fitness Institute (KFI) and KOMPAN Fitness Strategy Director to ensure product innovation is rooted on consumer insights and user benefits.
  • Product conceptualizing into product development ideas based on insights and research from universities and KOMPAN Fitness Institute (KFI).
  • Preparing sales tools and briefing the marketing communication team in collaboration with Fitness Strategy Director.
  • Continuously tracking product performance; for revitalization, optimization and for pruning.
  • Collecting, consolidating, and maintaining product data.

You will engage and cooperate with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Hence, you will build relationships across the organization in order to improve product development.

Make a difference with your product management skills

You hold a degree in Business, Innovation, Engineering, Entrepreneurship or similar and have a minimum of 3 years of product management experience.

Preferably you currently work as a Product Manager or similar in a global company and have extensive knowledge and experience in driving product innovation projects and in stage gate management.

You are able to work in multifunctional teams consisting of designers, engineers, scientists, marketeers etc.

Further, you possess/are:

  • Great English communication skills, both in spoken and written
  • Solid presentation skills and are comfortable in presenting to senior management and business partners.
  • A commercial mindset with excellent business analysis competences.  
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to come up with innovative ideas. 
  •  Excellent in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint

Vil du være med til at skabe gladere og sundere samfund ved at varetage dagligt teknisk ansvar for udvalgte produktlinjer indenfor leg og aktiv livsstil?   

Vi søger en Technical Product Manager til KOMPAN A/S på vores hovedkontor i Odense. I denne rolle vil du give teknisk sparring i alle faser af udviklingsprocessen fra idé til implementering af produkt.  Du vil opbygge et indgående kendskab til KOMPANs materiale og teknologiportefølje. Her vil du anvende din tekniske viden omkring forskelligartede fremstillingsprocesser. 

Teknisk nøglerolle i udviklingsfasen af nye legeredskaber

Du ansættes med reference til Chief Technical Manager i Product Innovation, som har ansvaret for teknisk udvikling og konstruktion af nye lege- og fitnessredskaber, der lever op til KOMPANs høje funktions- og designkrav. 

I rollen vil du varetage dagligt teknisk ansvar for udvalgte produktlinjer. Du vil komme med teknisk problemløsning på allerede frigivne produkter. På grund af det store produktsortiment vil du komme til at arbejde med mange forskellige materialer som f.eks. stål, aluminium, plastik, træ og forskellige genbrugsmaterialer. Da produkterne anvendes udendørs, vil overfladebehandling og korrosionsbeskyttelse være en vigtig del af jobbet. 

Kompan har alle typer af værktøjsbaseret emner, så kendskab til flere af disse støbeprocesser vil være er en fordel. Der er mange roterende produkter med bevægelige dele, så viden om diverse lejer anvendes i jobbet. 

I overskrifter vil dine opgaver være:

  • Initiere og styre konstruktionsændringer.
  • Opstilling af kriterier for samt koordinering af relevante tekniske tests.
  • Opfølgning på prototyper og korrektioner i forbindelse med test af prototyper i samarbejde med værkstedet.
  • Sikre størst mulig opfyldelse af funktionalitets- og designmål fra pro-duktkoncepterne såvel som DFM/A/D (design for manufactu-ring/assembly/durability) for de udviklede løsninger til KOMPANs core produkter.
  • Gennemførsel af konstruktionsgranskninger og -evalueringer i samråd med Engineering teamet på vores fabrik i Tjekkiet.
  • Søge nye muligheder/alternativer indenfor konstruktion, processer og materialer, samt formidle disse.
  • Udarbejdelse af konstruktionsberegninger i forbindelse med udviklingsopgaver.

Du bliver en del af et teknisk team i Odense på ca. 20 ingeniører og teknikere, som arbejder med at udvikle og forbedre den tekniske del af KOMPANs unikke produktprogram. Vi er gode til at dele vores tekniske viden og derved dygtiggøre hinanden. Derudover vil du arbejde tæt sammen med Projektlederne, Design, Safety, andre CAD-specialister og den tilsvarende engineering afdeling i Tjekkiet.

Beslutningsdygtig Maskiningeniør med stor teknisk viden 

Du er Maskiningeniør eller lignende og har gerne en håndværksmæssig baggrund som f.eks. smed eller maskinarbejder.

Du har optimalt allerede erfaring med konstruktion indenfor metalindustrien. Du har en stor teknisk viden, da hovedansvarsområdet er at arbejde med driftstekniske opgaver, der vedrører de produkter, hvor man er ansvarlig samt udviklingsprojekter.

Derudover ser vi at, du:

  • Er løsningsorienteret og beslutningsdygtig og drives af at have mange projekter samtidig.
  • Kan arbejde med SolidWorks på brugerniveau. 
  • Har et godt kendskab til 2D dokumentation og bestilling af prototyper.
  • Er god til engelsk i både skrift og tale.

Together with our customers and agents, we design and visualize large playgrounds and outdoor fitness areas for many different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.

Ensure that KOMPAN’s design proposals meet customer expectations

As a Solution Designer and Visualizer, you will ensure that KOMPAN’s design proposals meet or exceed customers’ expectations and are delivered within the deadline. You will align design directions and critical decisions with sales colleagues. This involves participating in tender briefs, customer meetings and proposal presentations.

You will assist our colleagues in sales and agents in visually formulating the best solution for our customers, users, and the environment by bringing creativity to the design of the site. For example, providing insights into what makes an area fun and accessible to a wide audience.

Further, responsibilities within this role also include:

  • Understanding the importance of marketing and branding leading to the creation of workflows and design proposals that are product centric and builds brand power.
  • Collaboration with design colleagues for 3D imagery/content to get ideas across to the client in a professional, captivating, and presentable approach (ultimately endorsing the design concept). 
  • Managing requests of variants/customized products with all relevant parties.
  • Working closely with Team Lead and supports design team on all aspects of team collaboration and design activities.
  • Ensuring designs are compliant with local safety standards and assist in submitting necessary documentation to the sales team.
  • Assisting with Technical Drawing production.

Designer or Landscape Architect with technical and creative skills

You hold a Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Urban Design or Landscape Architecture and have 1-3 years of experience in a design or landscape architecture role. 

You are familiar with AutoCAD, 3D MAX, V-ray and have been preparing technical drawings. 

Moreover, you:

  • Possess a great technical understanding combined with the ability to illustrate your ideas in a creative way.
  • Have the ability to work independently and drive projects from brief to delivery. 
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as problem-solving skills. 
  • Have an eye for detail and take pride in good craftmanship. 
  • Are customer- and market-oriented in your approach. 

You are self-propelled and like a fast pace to support the customers’ wishes.

Get hands-on experience with an internship within Design & Concept

This role will give you knowledge of the design process in a growing, international set-up and credits to your CV that can’t be measured in ECTS. 
Concepts and products of playgrounds and fitness equipment are developed in the Design & Concept department by eleven employees and interns who all have a background in design or architecture. Here ideas, products and concepts arise. 

Throughout the development process there is a great collaboration with Product Engineering, Product Safety & Quality and KOMPAN Play Institute.

As an intern within this team, you will support our Designers working with exciting projects, and you will find yourself working with tasks such as:

  • Idea generation.
  • Design.
  • Hands-on work from drawings and choice of materials to muck-ups and models.


Talented student with an interest in 3D-drawings, materials, and design

To be successful in this internship, an understanding of 3D-drawings, materials, and design are a must.

You are currently attending the master’s or bachelor’s degree within design, architecture, engineering or similar and you have shown that you are talented within this field.

Further, you:

  • Bring a talent for applying theory in practice.
  • Are motivated by both idea generation and operational tasks.
  • Are committed and motivated to learn, which is reflected in your productive approach to the tasks. 


Practicalities

The fun and more challenging tasks will require you to be in the office around 4-5 days a week. 

The duration of the internship will be agreed upon with your studies in mind. 

KOMPAN is paying for your lunch, but otherwise the internship is unpaid.
