KOMPAN are market leaders in providing outdoor play, sport, and fitness solutions to a variety of sectors. As market leaders we strive to offer our customers the best level of service, in-turn retaining our position in the marketplace. Over the last 5 years KOMPAN have seen significant growth in what is a niche marketplace, becoming the number one provider across many continents worldwide. It is due to this growth we are now looking to recruit and add an individual to complement our existing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • To offer a full turn-key solution from the KOMPAN portfolio of products and services to various markets including Local Authority, Town Councils, Parish Councils and Contractors in the main
  • New business development with on-going account management responsibility
  • Liaising with and managing relationships with various buying points and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority where a tailored approach is required
  • Developing innovative designs and quotations based on international best practice and an in-depth local understanding of client requirements that are seen through to a successful conclusion in what, can be a long sales cycle

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a successful track record of sales achievements within an environment that has a mixture of short, medium, and long sales cycles
  • Experience of working within the key market segment identified
  • Demonstrate experience in prospecting, sourcing leads, new contacts and identifying potential new business
  • Have experience in selling solutions or projects incorporating products and/or services
  • Hold a strong commercial and negotiation acumen, preferably developed in a multi stakeholder environment
  • Have drive, enthusiasm and a highly competitive nature, together with strong people skills

Key deliverables

  • Focus to meet monthly and annual targets
  • Ability to self-generate leads and seek out potential business opportunities
  • Strong communicator with both external customers and internal support staff
  • Meet objectives as agreed with management
  • Good knowledge of tenders and RFQ processes
  • Knowledge and ability to use all Microsoft packages

Desirables

  • Have the ability to create, prepare and lead on developing project specific packages
  • Good understanding of the construction market
  • Experience of working with concept designs

Designer for KOMPAN - Milton Keynes

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for two designers to join our team of 11 designers.

Your profile

  • You have a creative eye
  • You have a design related degree, e.g., product designer, graphic designer, interior design
  • You are proficient in AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max and have experience Photoshop
  • You are a team player with an ambition to learn and develop new skills
  • You are sociable, helpful, with a can-do attitude and a positive outlook
  • A good communicator

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation of quotations and tender estimates
  • Liaising with design colleagues, sales team, and operations teams
  • Third party quotation management
  • Co-ordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • Project management to ensure best practices are implemented
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and guidelines for design processes
  • Reporting to management 
  • Produce 3D visuals and illustrations/plans for submissions to clients
  • Respond to customer’s dreams and wishes with visionary new designs
  • Ensure efficiency in collaborating with you colleagues through clear communication and hand-over.
