We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team in the playground industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth execution of playground installation projects, from handover to completion. You’ll coordinate internal teams, liaise with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

This role requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC14) and CRM systems, as well as excellent communication and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor all stages of multiple playground projects, from initial planning to completion.
  • Work closely with Contract Managers to keep projects running smoothly. 
  • Act as a central point of contact between sales, design, logistics, and installation teams.
  • Take an active role in managing resource allocation. 
  • Maintain accurate project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
  • Use BC14 to manage project financials, procurement, and inventory tracking.
  • Use CRM systems to track project milestones and log communication history.
  • Schedule and manage deliveries and installation dates.
  • Liaise with contractors, and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and resolve project risks or delays quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Raise project invoices upon completion ensuring accuracy and timely processing

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a project coordination or project support role, ideally within playgrounds, or a related outdoor/installation industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage project data.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
  • Basic understanding of playground safety standards and UK regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

CAD Technician - Construction Drawing

Job Purpose

The role is an addition to an existing one within our design team and this opportunity comes as part of our growth plans, to develop more resource and support for the design and contracts teams.  
The role supports the design, development and installation of innovative playground schemes by producing high-quality CAD drawings and technical documentation. The CAD Technician will produce accurate and detailed construction drawings that support the installation of playground and outdoor fitness equipment. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create construction drawings of playground and outdoor fitness schemes ready for installation by our contracts team
  • Translate designs from our bespoke inhouse 3D sales software to create construction drawings for our contract team
  • Collaborate with the contracts managers, sales and wider design teams to ensure feasibility and compliance
  • Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant safety standards (e.g., BS EN 1176/1177)
  • Maintain drawing archives and CAD libraries to align with KOMPAN process standards
  • Identify and resolve design errors and design efficiencies, collaborating with internal teams, through clear communication and handover

 

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable) and/or Revit (desirable) 
  • Experience in landscape, architectural, or product design - preferably in playground or outdoor leisure sectors
  • Understanding of levels and cut/fill desirable 
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Knowledge of UK playground safety standards is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication, teamwork and collaborative abilities

Playground Inspector

The Kompan aftersales department provide on-site inspections, repairs, full refurbishments, and maintenance on any manufacturers’ equipment, even those who have ceased trading. 

We are looking to recruit a playground Inspection engineer. We offer the opportunity to join a well-established, growing UK organization, focusing on delivering on-going play inspection and maintenance to our ever-growing existing client base. 

As an inspection engineer you will be required to carry out operational inspections and minor repairs in playgrounds across South / South West London. The ideal candidate needs to be located in these areas to ensure optimum efficiency of be able to cover the patch.

The role will include the following:

  • Completion of operational inspections and risk assessments as specified in BS EN1176 using the Play Inspection Company APP or other software the company may choose to use. 
  • To ensure such inspections provide all necessary information for repair quotations to be produced accurately including measurements, quantities, manufacturer details and photographs. 
  • To ensure that inspections are always undertaken in the most efficient manner possible taking into consideration local conditions such as weather, traffic and local events / holidays. 
  • Contacting customers as and when required to advise your intended inspection date / time. 
  • Maintain effective communication with the office.
  • Identifying opportunities for larger repair and refurbishment works.
  • To ensure any vehicle stock is replenished as required by requesting replacement items based on usage to avoid out of stock situations. 
  • To provide a stock take of vehicle stock as and when requested. 
  • To contribute ideas and suggestions for improving the efficiency of your role. 
  • To provide support / training where required to other members of staff. 
  • To maintain all tools / equipment / PPE in good condition and request replacement items or repairs as required. 
  • To wear company branded workwear at all times (branded workwear will be provided). 
  • To clearly display ID badge. 
  • To comply in full with the companies code of conduct at all times. 
  • To maintain your vehicle in line with the company car policies. 
  • To undertake additional training where required. 
  • To always act safely and wear all appropriate PPE for the task set (PPE will be provided).

Experience

  • Experience of working within a construction, maintenance or service engineers’ desirable
  • Good customer service and communication skills. 
  • A problem solver with practical skills including experience of woodworking, surface repair, painting and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to a high level of accuracy and to meet deadlines.
  • A self-motivated individual who continually keeps abreast of industry and safety requirement changes.
  • Basic IT skills - Use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel daily, so a full clean driving license is required.
  • RPII Operational inspection Qualification. (Will consider training for the right candidate).
  • Due to the nature of our business an Enhanced DBS check will be required.
