The Company

RIB Software is a global IT company with approx. 1200 employees. The summer of 2014, RIB Software acquired the Danish company Byggeweb A/S which today is an integrated part of RIB Group. RIB is the first player in the market to offer a vertical end-to-end platform for the construction industry based on cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence and mobile first principles. In short, RIB is on a mission to break with the low productivity that the global construction industry is experiencing by offering an integrated ecosystem of software applications. The Danish business unit has, among other things, the market's most widely used and recognized Project Web with over 120,000 users spread over 7000 companies. Every day, more than 24,000 files are uploaded on our platform and the amount of data grows exponentially as a result of the digitalization in construction where the use of digital building models, drones, 3D scans, point clouds etc. is the new standard.

RIB is experiencing a rapid growth and we therefore offer a unique position as Product Manager and the possibility to impact one of the largest industries in the world by applying your strategic and commercial thinking within software products.

The Team

You will be part of the Danish business unit located in the heart of Copenhagen with approx. 45 employees and 7 in Ukraine. You will join our Research & Development Department with reference to our Chief Product Officer and become part of a professional and dedicated team. We are behind some of the industry's most recognized solutions and therefore we expect you play to win and can raise the level of competence within our team.

The Role

As Product Manager and responsible for the product lifecycle of your products, you will drive a strategic direction for your products to ensure we solve our customers most important pain points. You will be responsible for our project web, which is the most widely used solution in Denmark, and you will ensure its continuous competitiveness by applying your knowledge about the construction industry to design a strategic roadmap that will drive even more success for our solution.

You will also leverage your interest in digital technologies and Build 4.0 to ensure that your products utilize the latest technologies and that they continue to be competitive in the market.

The Product Manager is the spearhead of the product within the organization and responsible for managing all relevant stakeholders from our customers to Marketing, Customer Success, Sales and Consulting.

You are higher motivated by the commercial aspects of product management and understand that a successful product requires much more than a technically feasible solution. You will drive go-to-market and sales supporting activities in collaboration with our sales organization to drive profitability and competitiveness of our products. You will be responsible for designing business models for your products, pricing as well as continuous optimization of the cost structure for your products.

You will have a very close interface to the development team and the Delivery Manager who leads the development team. You are into every detail of the product and are the trusted sparring partner for the Delivery Manager and development team when clarifications are needed.

Primary areas of responsibility

  • Develop product strategy, roadmap and functional requirements.
  • Ensure that we understand the challenges of the construction industry and the pain points of each customer segment and address those with our products.
  • Coordinate product related activities with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure competitiveness and profitability of your products
  • Go-to-market and sales support activities incl. product descriptions, sales material etc.
  • Marketing support to ensure the right and timely exposure of the product.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years of experience in roles from the construction industry or from a product management capacity. It is not required to have both experience from construction and product management but it is an advantage if you do.

The right candidate has an interest in digitalization in the construction industry and is eager to continuously scan the technology market to stay ahead.

Bilingual fluency in Danish and English is required.
