Do you want to play a central role in a growing international company? We are looking for a senior project manager with strong drive, structure and passion for project and process management to lead the implementation of WMS and improve efficiency in our warehouse and logistics operations.

In Borg Automotive A/S, we are dedicated to transforming our warehouse and logistics operations through strategic focus and significant investments. We are currently in the progress of constructing a new logistic center in Poland in order to support our growth. Additionally, in the coming years we will replace our core ERP with Microsoft Dynamics 365, which will also include the onboarding of our warehouses to WMS.  These combined initiatives will fundamentally transform our warehouse operations, enhancing efficiency through standardization and automation, and supporting future expansion. To successfully manage the key initiatives involved in this, we are seeking a senior project manager with a process oriented mindset, who will play a crucial role in driving this transformation.

The position 

In this role, you will lead the implementation of WMS for our 10 warehouses in Poland, Germany, Spain, Denmark, France and Tunesia. Additionally you will manage process improvements within our  warehouse and logistics operations in close collaboration with our process organization. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of project management expertise and a strong understanding of process optimization, ensuring that our initiatives deliver maximum value and efficiency.  

Your responsibilities will include understanding both global and local requirements, managing end-to-end project delivery, while ensuring compliance with the company’s project delivery model.  

You will be part of a small team acting as center of excellence within project and process management, promoting best practices and a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and efficiency across the organization. As a central function the team span from small to large projects within various business areas, where your primary focus will be on projects within the supply chain & logistics area. 

This position includes travelling, with varying degrees of travel related to project activities, particularly during the go-live phase (approximately 20-30 days per year).  

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead WMS Implementation: Lead the planning and execution of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) project, ensuring alignment with overall warehouse and logistics transformation goals. 
  • Process Management: Identify, develop, and implement process improvements within warehouse operations in close collaboration with process organization to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Furthermore, ensuring that the projects and improvements are anchored and adopted fully by the operational owner teams. 
  • Project Planning and execution: Manage all phases of project delivery, from planning and execution to monitoring and closeout, ensuring compliance with the company’s project delivery model. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Stakeholder Management on all levels, with C-level representatives in steering group and/or as project owners. Ensuring close collaboration and  active line of communication with internal and external stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, IT  and logistics teams, to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business objectives. 
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence in project and process management. 

Qualifications 

  • A Master´s degree in Supply Chain Management, business administration/engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience, with a focus on warehouse operations, logistics, or related fields. 
  • Proven experience with implementing Warehouse Management Systems, preferably with Microsoft's ERP solutions, including Dynamics 365. 
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of project management methodologies with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively from initiation through to completion. 
  • Deep understanding of process optimization methodologies and tools, with a track record of driving efficiency improvements. 
  • Experience and skills within scoping, requirement gathering and process optimization (e.g. design thinking. Kaizen, Six Sigma, workshop facilitation, user story mapping) 
  • Excellent analytical abilities, with the capability to assess project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills, essential for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration. 
  • Self-motivated and resilient, with a strong drive to achieve results and effectively engage stakeholders. 
  • Proven ability to drive initiatives to completion, creating a lasting impact within the organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
