IT Systems Manager
Who are we
Borg Automotive are the largest independent remanufacturer of car parts in the aftermarket. With a commitment to quality and continuous improvement, we strive to deliver refabricated parts that are on par or exceeds quality of OEM parts. As we continuously expand our operations through acquisitions and organic growth, and are starting up a company wide ERP migration, we would like to bolster our capabilities. The role would be based in Poland (Łódź and/or Zduńska Wola).
The Position
As a IT systems manager in Borg Automotive, you will have the responsibility for the small team looking after our MES and custom application. The role is part of the Business Applications team which is a group function serving all of our sites. You will have responsibility for developing your reports in the area of responsibility they have and you are a driving force in imbedding our company values in the team.
You will be part of deciding what is the next task for your team and following up on the deliverables set in those task, whether it is small changes or larger scale projects.
You will be responsible for setting goals and objectives for the team, that goes in line with the general strategy. It’s your responsibility to conduct both the development talks with you reports half yearly and with conducting 1-2-1s on a weekly basis to ensure your reports thriving.
As an IT systems manager you will have the responsibilities of the department running one of the crucial applications for business operations in Borg Automotive. You will be hands on with both developing and supporting the systems your team look after.
The role as IT system manager is located in Łódż or Zduńska Wola . Currently the team is located in Zduńska Wola but expansion of the team might be done in the Łódż office making a need for presence in both location during the week.
Your profile
It is there a must that you have good SQL skills and it would also be an advantage, if you have developed in the Power Platform before, as these are the main tools being used today. As you will be in contact with many different languages, it is important that you have a good English skills both verbally and in writing.
If you have MES experience from any software, it will be an advantage, but it’s not a must. The MES will be the Key area of your focus for the first part of you employment. Any ERP experience from a production company will also help you in processes and terminology understanding, but again this is not a must.
You’re probably working a similar role today, but are in need of a fresh challenge. You have at least a few years of experience as a team manager and like the hybrid role of being manager and being hands on. You like to be surrounded by your colleagues from your own branch of IT and other branches as well and it gives you energy to be in the office and co-located with your reports.
Although we believe in working close to our reports, we do pride ourselves on being flexible when it comes to a need for working from home when necessary.
As a person you have strong analytical skills and are organised and methodical in your approach to tasks and challenges. You’re open and have the ability to forge relationships with stakeholders in- and outside of IT.
ADDITION:
As we’re located in serveral places in Europe, business trips must be expected, but only to a minor degree. All trips will be planned in advance leaving time to prepare for them.
