KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a dynamic National Key Account Manager - Public Sector to develop and drive national account development within the GSA (General Services Administration) and Federal sectors with a proven track record of developing and capturing government business opportunities. This position plays a pivotal role in driving sales of our innovative outdoor commercial play and fitness solutions to government agencies and federal entities.
The National Key Account Manager - Public Sector will be at the forefront of cultivating relationships, driving business strategy, and ensuring growth within the GSA & Federal markets. This role is critical in expanding KOMPAN’s market presence while contributing to our overall business development and strategy.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify and penetrate GSA & Federal opportunities, targeting federal agencies, military bases, and other government entities
- Drive sales within GSA & Federal accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships with KOMPAN’s Playground and Outdoor Fitness solutions with these national accounts
- Build relationships with key stakeholders at federal agencies, military family housing, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) directorates, Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities, National Guard & Reserve facilities, and other related public-sector entities
- Analyze market trends, policies, and government needs to identify opportunities and ensure compliance with government specifications and regulations
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (including regional sales representatives, marketing, product development, and sales leadership) to drive business development and ensure alignment with government requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert in government procurement processes, GSA schedules, and federal contracting, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and clients
- Develop and present tailored proposals for federal and military projects, ensuring alignment with specific customer needs and government budgets
- Deliver presentations and engage with key government decision-makers, providing thought leadership and showcasing KOMPAN’s industry expertise
- Support business development initiatives for growing the GSA and Federal customer base, while collaborating with government consultants and third-party partners
- Attend and represent KOMPAN at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and connect with prospective stakeholders
- Leverage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to drive sustainable sales process behaviors and pipeline growth
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, exercise physiology, kinesiology, health and wellness, sports management, or related field is preferred
- 5+ years of sales experience in a customer-facing, activities based selling model, within the military / government contracting space
- Proven track record of managing and growing national accounts, especially in GSA, federal, military, or government sectors
- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, including GSA schedules, federal contracting requirements, and compliance
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) for pipeline management and reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-level government stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the federal sector
- Preferred experience with project-based or solution selling in the government or public sector
- Preferred experience developing and expanding product categories for the government market
This position is based from your home office, with nationwide day and overnight travel (up to 50%).
