KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a dynamic Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis who will be responsible for the FP&A function in a rapidly growing business.

 

This role will provide financial consulting and strategic support to leadership including preparing presentations, analyses of operating results and trends, industry / peer group analysis, forecasting and other projects requested by management. This position acts as the analytical engine of the business to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.

What You’ll Do

· Lead the annual planning and monthly forecast update process and help develop value-added analyses of the projections

· Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, freight, and expenses

· Responsible for analysis of regular reporting of variances against annual plan and forecasts

· Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

· Support Leadership Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis

· Prepare presentations for the Leadership Team

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience
  • 1+ years of experience in FP&A environment
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work constructively with many different functions (sales, logistics, installation, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to solve complex mathematical problems
  • Highly driven and self-motivated

 

This position is an in-office role at KOMPAN's U.S. headquarters in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for successfully managing warehouse operations including staffing, logistics, safety, analytics with reporting, and customer collaboration. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all industry and organizational rules and regulations, while acting as a key contributor to KOMPAN’s P/L, overall strategy, business execution, and culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a staff consisting of full-time forklift operators and logistics coordinators
  • Communicate and coordinate timely material delivery with customers
  • Facilitate the reduction of aging inventory with regular updates to the sales team on product types and quantities available
  • Train, supervise, guide, develop, and inspire staff and monitor and evaluate performance
  • Supervise the safe and efficient loading and unloading on all docks
  • Regularly develop, schedule a deliver safety training to staff, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Provide oversight to third-party external warehouses
  • Book transportation from a hub to the sites across the US, Canada, and Mexico
  • Arrange customs clearance for import to US and Canada
  • Responsible for daily and direct impact on P/L
  • Managing daily negotiations with freight carriers to determine cost-effective freight charges and types of transport vessels (flatbeds, enclosed trucks, short/long beds)
  • Managing and negotiating parcel freight services and pricing for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and LTL carriers to control costs
  • Efficiently managing carriers at the port to minimize or eliminate toll charges, drayage, and storage fees
  • Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure SOs for all spare parts in internal and external warehouses and HUB facilities
  • Track & Trace goods in transit and report goods damaged
  • Prepare and analyze weekly reports on quick supply inventory, shipment status, freight damage reports, and other logistic reports required to ensure prompt delivery of equipment to project sites and sales inventory
  • Apply JIT (Just in Time) logistic management strategy and coordinate reporting and communication between project managers, coordinators, and management
  • Collaborate and partner extensively with all other internal and external customers on behalf of the Logistics Department

 

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in related roles
  • Experience managing a warehouse team
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically able to lift or move up to 50 pounds

What You’ll Do

· Establish lasting relationships and collaboration with our dedicated sales professionals

· Qualify incoming RFPs (bids and framework bids) in collaboration with sales professionals

· Coordinate meetings for the project group of the specific bid (several bids run parallel)

· Determine the right bid strategy together with our sales professionals, designers, estimators, and sales coordinators

· Coordinate that the salespeople, design team, estimator, and sales coordinators submit their deliverables according to plan

· Contribute to the written proposal with collaboration from the project group

· Gather all the information from the project group and secure the submission

· Fill out and submit prequalification questionnaires

· On a regular basis, it also involves updating keywords for tender notice search engines/databases, improving our bid library, collecting references from our sales professionals, and generating reports of our bid win rate, etc.

· Maintaining framework agreements by keeping price lists, renewing agreements, preparing documents for upload, keeping data current, and ensuring timely filing requirements are fulfilled

· Assist in quoting/estimating with colleagues as needed


 

What You’ll Need

· 2+ Years experience in bids / proposal coordination / request for proposals (RFPs)

· Excellent project management skills, e.g. ability to prioritize projects and workload within deadlines

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experienced in pricing and calculating margins (Excel experience)

· Organized, structured, methodical, and accountable

· Autonomous, self-propelled, forward-thinking, anticipating, and a problem solver

· Hold prestart, progress, and handover meetings with customers and sub-contractors including changes to the scope of work, and ensure that all installations meet customer expectations

· Review product designs, proposals, and contracts for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements to establish start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of the project

· Prepare and approve job forecasts, including contractor and sub-contractor compliance based on project specifications

· Foster and promote relationships with project owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

· Ensure KOMPAN receives the best possible pricing in collaboration with accounting, while tracking budgets and reporting monthly cash flow to ensure job profitability, accuracy, and schedule adherence

· Communicate with internal teams and customers to provide regular updates

· Deliver world-class end-products in terms of build quality and specifications, identifying outstanding work for scheduled completion, prior to project handover

· Manage the aftercare process including defect completion, supplying handover packs to the customer, and communicating future maintenance requirements

 

This position is 70 - 80% travel around northern California.

 

What You’ll Need

· College degree in a related field, with 3+ years of experience (or 8+ years of experience in lieu of education)

· Previous project management experience with both small and large construction projects required

· Thorough understanding of the construction industry

· Experience with pre-construction work, including planning, design, review, value engineering, project scheduling, and conceptual estimating

What You’ll Do

· Sell and promote KOMPAN playground and fitness equipment to industry targets in your region, becoming an expert in design and functionality

· Prospect, network, and build a pipeline through activity-based sales

· Leverage the CRM by targeting market segments (e.g. schools, parks and recreation departments, municipalities, landscape architects, contractors, and housing developers)

· Create product awareness and demand by articulating the world-class quality of KOMPAN equipment through presentations and industry events

· Prepare sales quotations and basic designs with the assistance of our highly supportive central team

· Ensure quality communication with your customers throughout the sales process, from the design phase through installation and post-sale

KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a Pre-Sales Coordinator to manage requests for playground project proposals from our sales representatives. This position will review incoming projects and coordinate with vendors to obtain installation and surfacing estimates to provide our sales representatives and vendors.

 

The role entails coordinating projects from the early planning stage through the order placement, by collaborating with other departments and outside vendors to provide the most accurate quote for equipment, installation, and surfacing.

What You’ll Do

· Create proposals for outdoor playground and fitness projects, including products, installation, surfacing, and site work

· Analyze project requirements from sales and define the Scope of Work for each project

· Request pricing information for various items and services, from installers and third-party suppliers

· Working with site plans to determine the correct quantity of materials needed

· Coordinate the quotation and design submission to the sales professionals and customers

· Create final quotes using the Navision ERP system, ensuring accurate data (e.g. cost, prices, and margins)

· Manage projects and accurate data in Navision ERP and MS Dynamics CRM

· Support Sales Representatives and colleagues with ad hoc tasks

 

What You’ll Need

  • High school or equivalent with 1+ years of related work experience
  • Excellent project coordination skills with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Preferred experience working with pricing and/or calculating margins
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively, both independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Preferred experience working in an ERP system (NAV2016 or similar) and/or a CRM
