KOMPAN is looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Manager - North America to develop and drive sales of our Commercial System in North America.

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will drive sales, revenue, and profitability for KOMPAN Commercial Systems throughout North America. You will lead efforts to expand our presence in the Family and Quick Service Restaurant segments, executing our strategic plan and nurturing key partnerships. 

Your role includes overseeing sales planning, driving growth and retention, and developing effective sales and marketing strategies. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including restaurant owners, franchisees, and national/regional accounts, while mentoring the Business Development Manager to achieve sales targets. 

Focused on exceptional customer service, you will continuously refine our market approach based on customer feedback. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work closely with both internal and external teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities. 

In collaboration with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 sites a month across 90 different countries. Our North American headquarters, located in Austin, Texas, supports field sales around the U.S. and Canada. 

KOMPAN Commercial Systems is a subsidiary of the KOMPAN Group and is specialized in designing and building in- and outdoor playgrounds to commercial restaurants and retail, often with limited available space. We sell and develop all over the world adapted playland solutions to a variety of professional clientele (quick service restaurants, commercial centers, leisure, etc.)  to improve the attractiveness and the quality of the customers’ experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales revenue and gross profit across North America, focusing on the Family and Quick Service Restaurant segments.
  • Establish and expand KOMPAN Commercial Systems’ presence in the region.
  • Execute the regional strategic plan to grow market share and brand presence.
  • Develop and nurture both new and existing partnerships, including restaurant owners, franchisees, and key stakeholders such as architects and construction managers.
  • Lead and support the Business Development Manager in achieving sales targets.
  • Oversee key account development and management, ensuring strong, lasting relationships.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Build, maintain, and grow a robust customer base in the region.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Develop and implement tailored sales and marketing plans to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collect customer feedback and market insights to refine and improve sales strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and teams at the KOMPAN US office.

 

Travel: Approximately 60-80 days per year
 

Location: Austin, TX 
 

Reports to: Sales Director, Indoor and the Managing Director of KOMPAN Commercial Systems at our global headquarters in Denmark.

 

What You’ll Need

  • College degree in business or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of business development experience in a customer-facing, CRM-driven environment
  • Strong sales and management experience, ideally within the restaurant, playground, or construction industries
  • Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, particularly in the commercial, restaurant, or service sectors
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external installers, and customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at team development and support
