KOMPAN U.S. is seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Specialist to build and lead our Indirect Procurement function for U.S. operations.

 

This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact, entrepreneurial role where you'll design and implement procurement strategies across key indirect spend categories, including installations, third-party products, surfacing, shading, lighting, and operational services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy for all U.S. indirect spend categories. Establish best-in-class sourcing processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct spend analyses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, etc.) and collaborate with global procurement to align sourcing initiatives.
  • Standardize procurement workflows, implement controls, and promote system and data transparency to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage a diverse range of vendors across categories, evaluate performance, and ensure quality, reliability, and value creation.
  • Influence procurement’s role as a growth enabler - supporting scalability and innovation through smarter, more sustainable supply chain decisions.

 

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and/or third-party sourcing, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Comfortable leading both strategic initiatives and hands-on procurement activities in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage complex projects.
  • Experience working in an international supply chain or production environment is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30 days per year.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team-oriented, collaborative mindset.
